Projects and assignments
A project is a place where work is performed, a location, a restaurant, a site. You assign workers to a project and record their hours, and those hours are the basis for settlements with the client.
What a project is
A project is a specific place where your workers perform work at a client, for example a location or a restaurant. A project belongs to a client and organizes who works where.
Subprojects (tree)
A project can have subprojects arranged in a tree. This lets you break a large site into smaller parts (e.g. departments or points within a single location) and keep a clear structure for a larger client.
Assignments and hours
- You assign workers to a project, you define who works at a given place.
- You record the hours worked on the project.
- Hours per project are the basis for project settlements.
A client manager can approve or reject the hour reports for their projects in the client portal, before they go into settlement.
