Setup
Document templates
You build a library of your own contract templates in DOCX format with placeholder mapping. Onboardly fills in employee data in them when generating a contract. Alternatively, you use PandaDoc templates.
Your own DOCX templates
You upload a contract template in DOCX and map its placeholders to data fields. Onboardly suggests the matches, auto-mapping is AI-assisted, and you confirm or correct the assignments.
- 1You upload a DOCX file with the contract template.
- 2You map placeholders to data fields, with AI suggestions (auto-mapping).
- 3You review a preview of the filled-in template.
- 4If needed, you replace the file with a new version.
Templates per contract type
You keep templates separately for each contract type:
| Contract type | Short name |
|---|---|
| Mandate contract | zlecenie |
| Employment contract | UoP |
| B2B contract | B2B |
| Contract for specific work | dzieło |
Plan-dependent availability
Plan-dependent
The number of templates depends on the plan: lower plans allow 1 template per contract type, higher plans, multiple templates within the same type.PandaDoc templates
Instead of your own DOCX, you can connect a PandaDoc template by providing its Template ID. Onboardly then generates the document based on the PandaDoc template.
Once you've configured your templates, move on to generating and signing contracts, this is described on the Contracts and e-signature page.
